Per usual, I’m so behind.  Anyone else?!?  Please tell me I’m not alone:)  I decided it is impossible to have a clean house with 4 kids.  Impossible.  So to try to get pictures in a timely manner is even harder.  I finally shipped my kids out one day to a sitter, and I cleaned.  I told Ryan I don’t need a cleaning lady, I just need a day care  for a few hours so I can clean.  And be.  Just be, in my own clean house and enjoy it for just an hour before the tornado comes back:)

So, you’re gonna notice I didn’t include the kitchen.  I’m sneaky like that.  I didn’t think you guys wanted to see the piles of signs and whimsy stuff that overtakes my house this time of year as well.

ahh…I’m just going to pretend my house is this clean again:)

and the pillows are perfectly fluffed..

and all of the toys are put away;)

I gotta say, I’m getting excited to get rid of this tv in here and open up that window:)  Pretty soon!  I’m thinking a new furniture arrangement may be in the mix as well!

My favorite spot in the house where I curl up and watch the fire sipping my coffee and tuning out the crying babe;)

Just kidding.  They never cry.  They are perfect all of the time;)

I bought this cute sign my sister made…and it was so fun to layer it into my mantel.

I cut down these corn tassels thinking they would turn brown once they dried…but they didnt’!  I kind of like the little pops of dead green in there though:)

If you are an avid follower you’ll notice I added some more frames to the living room.

The jury’s still out on them.  After it took me 100 holes and 2 hours to hang them I thought they should be lowered by a foot.  Oh dear.  I’m gonna live with them for a while like this:)

I just added some numbers in there for the fall.  I printed them out using the font Modern No. 20.  I’m thinking I’ll get some family pictures in there one of these days.

This rug still makes my heart pitter patter.  It layers in perfect with the fall decor..

That fun thankful sign came from Whimsy as well…from my other sister;)  I love to shop my own shop…how fun is that!

and I love to shop my neighbors fields:)  Thanks farmer Jeff!

I originally only had this small table runner on the table, but then added the burlap under it.  Layers do so much to add warmth to a room.

And lastly, the most comfortable spot in the house:)

Even Ryan agrees to that:)  I scored this chair on a k-bid online auction for $60 and it’s a Room and Board chair.  One of my best buys.

So there you have it.  Now I’ll go back to my reality of toys all around, pillows thrown on the floor, and Whimsy crafts taking over the house:)  haha…just to make you all feel a little better about the state of our houses.  I’m taking one for the team here!

Happy fall!!!

I just started following your blog last week & I’m so glad I did! Love the overall look – it really says cozy. I especially love the plaid throw – do you sell that or can you tell me where you got it? It’s the exact thing I’m looking for in my newly renovated farmhouse master. Thanks!
