Closet Refresh

I decided to do a tiny small but mighty makeover in this little bedroom closet at the Cabin on Dunns! We are buttoning this little cabin up to get it ready to rent starting this fall and while we are at that, this closet needed a little bit of  TLC!

Who doesn't love to snuggle in and watch a show from bed on vacation? But this tiny 12x8 bedroom didn't leave much room for a TV, until we came up with the perfect solution!

Operation take everything out was the first step! We keep all the extra linens, towels etc in here as there isn't much storage in this mini cabin!

I started with the new peel and stick on the floor. I had a few of the Chris loves Julia peel and stick tiles left over from the porch, that I knew would go perfect in here! Took me 30 minutes to get these guys in.

Up next was wallpaper!

I thought this pattern was a fun little pick for the cabin! And thankfully it is pretty forgiving because it didn't line up perfectly with the textured wall, but no one will every know;)

This closet butts up to the laundry unit we have so I needed to get a little creative on how we cover that up. A curtain to the rescue with a tension rod. It works perfect!

Now for the reveal!!

I say this all of the time but I mean it, why didn't we do this sooner?! A little TV closet!! Ryan and I have enjoyed this so much already in the last week. This closet was meant for this moment!

I've been eyeing this beautiful traditional dresser at Target for a while now. It's a total Pottery Barn dupe for $349!

It comes in a medium tone wood as well that is stunning but was out of stock when I was in the market for one ASAP.

It works perfect in this little nook and adds a little more storage!

A close up of the wallpaper pattern. I think it's so fun for a cabin closet.  It adds the right amount of pop that I had envisioned.

I also bought a wallpaper kit because I am going to be doing some wallpapering at the Oaks, so it will be getting put to good use there too! The kit helps a ton with cutting straight lines.

I painted the shelves and added a front wood piece to the face of the shelve to add something a little extra!

And of course I needed to make a frame for the TV! This took me under an hour to make and is a very affordable DIY!

I have a step by step tutorial video for you to make the Frame DIY yourself! Watch here!!
