MAN CAVE

When we bought this property, there were 7 outbuildings on it.  Oh the possibilites!  Two of those building were pole sheds that are used for storage and my Whimsy work place.  One is the barn, which we gave some love and held our Whimsy Green sales in.  Then there are still 4 others that have great potential.  One of them being the old grainery.  This is what it looked like when we purchased the property…

It didn’t look like much, but it had great views.  Ryan decided to claim this outbuilding as his man cave.

We started demo-ing…

and started rebuilding…

Ry ended up adding an extra four feet on the east wall, put in all new windows, roof and siding, as well as in floor heat and a fireplace.  And here’s what we ended up with…

The outside…

We used the wood from the loft to plank the east wall as well as the fireplace.  We used 1×10 pine boards on the floor, stained in minwax dark walnut.  The rest of the walls are planked and painted in Sherwin Williams, Porpoise.
