MY FALL HOME TOUR & TABLESCAPE

I’m joining ten other talented bloggers on this fall blog hop as we show you our homes all decked out for fall!  Be sure to check them all out at the end of this post:)

Oh how I love fall, it really is my favorite season in Minnesota, even if my life seems completely chaotic during these couple fleeting months. If anyone else is married to a hunter, you understand. Add in a small business where your biggest sales are in September and November, AND a homeschooling schedule, and some days I’m hard pressed to stay afloat. But God so graciously gives us the most beautiful views and weather during this short time that helps us to be thankful for so much and to just stop and soak in the awe and beauty of Him.

This was the first year that I took out my fall decorations and didn’t purchase one extra thing to add to my decor.  I didn’t have a ton of time to decorate, so I just started pulling and setting and within a couple of hours the house looked less like summer and a whole lot more like cozy fall.

If you’ve been following along here for awhile, you know how much I love to use free decor from nature, and one of my favorites is the tops of the corn that grow in the fields all around us!

They bring in great height and also so much fun texture.

That and a few dollar aisle target pumpkins, a garland and some led twinkle lights and this room is a wrap:)

Fall is also one of my favorite seasons to decorate for because my pallet is already super neutral, so I just need to pull in a few extra elements and cozy it up a bit and I’m done.

Oh, and Ryan’s antlers help out as well;)  More free decor!  I guess that hunting thing has it’s perks;)

My favorite area to decorate is always my dining room.  Buffets are such great spots for focal points, and a table becomes so beautiful with a centerpiece and place settings.

This year I used my new thankful sign I made for Whimsy as the focal point.

And I have left these fun lights up year round.  They seem to work for any season:)

This long, skinny wood box has also been a great staple.  It’s narrow enough to keep it on the table for family dinners, and easy enough to set off if we need the extra space.  I just keep changing out the decor for the current season:)

I had these little cutting boards left over from Whimsy and decided they added some fun warmth to the place settings as well.

And then we move into the other living room….

Where I added a few pumpkins and called it good;)

And I kinda love how we can see the fireplace from the kitchen.  It keeps it cozy feeling.

A few touches in the kitchen…

I’m still loving that old beam we put in between the kitchen and dining room…and hoping to add another one soon;)

Thanks so much for coming along on this journey with us…

We really do feel so blessed by you all.

Cheers to all things pumpkin, cozy sweaters, apple cider, and nights by the fire!
