A Photo Shoot

I told you to come back today to see some more pics, but I didn’t tell you they’d be of me.  HA!  Well, needless to say when we were shooting our barn stuff, Sarah had warned me.  “I’m getting a little sick of looking of the picture of you in the snow on your blog, (that she took a year and a half ago) so if you wanna get ready I’ll shoot a few to update it.  Thanks Sarah!

I have to tell you, I am probably one of the most awkward girls to shoot…or maybe not, it just felt that way.  So I was a little self conscience…

I loved the barn in the background though!!

I was also super self conscience about sucking in…this photographing is HARD work!!

I was just struggling with that belly!!

oh…..

That’s why……

No wonder it was hard to hide:) :)  For all of my blog friends, and anyone else since we really haven’t publicly announced it….little bundle number 3 is coming to join us around October 2nd.  Yep, we are already half way there.  CRAZY!!  But so excited:)   A little more to add to all the fun:)

I’ve never done pregnancy shots before, and my friend informs me that you normally do them when you are a little closer to your due date, but it felt good to stick the belly out:)  And a fun way to reveal it as well:)  We can’t wait to meet little peanut, and it will be a surprise this time!  Wow..that’s a first:)

Kynlee tells me everyday it’s gonna be a girl.  There may be a few tears shed from her if it’s a boy, but she’ll get over it:)

Have a great weekend everybody…I’m off to go work on Whimsy!!!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal
By Allie Lundeen August 14, 2025
I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
