CREATE A NATURAL WINTER PLACE SETTING FOR YOUR GUESTS

This post is sponsored by Walmart.

You guys know I was so excited when Walmart reached out again for another Christmas collaboration. I’m in love with Walmart pricing, convenience of returns, and also the fact that they always offer free shipping over $35! On top of that I have just been so super impressed with all of the new lines and inventory they have added. They are definitely one of my favorite places to shop. Last month I showed you how I made my living room cozy with Walmart Christmas, and this month I challenged myself to make a fun Christmas tablescape using their products!

What I loved most about this is that I could incorporate items I had purchased for my fall tablescape, and then just add to festive to it! Which kept costs down and kept a cohesive look! You know how I love the texture these  jute placemats add. And the price is amazing as well!

And I also used the same gold flatware that I got this past fall. You know I was dying at the fact that I could buy four place settings for UNDER $20!! That’s insane! And they are holding up great! We feel so fancy when we use them:)

This time I bought these GORGEOUS black dishes. Yes, my name is Allie and I have a dishes addiction:) You will be happy to know that I can store all of my dishes in my buffet, so they all have a home. Some people like to buy fun Christmas dishes, I would rather buy a set of dishes I can use all the time. And these black dishes create such a fun dramatic look. The quality is amazing. They are quite heavy and almost look like they are hand thrown with the texture they have. The best part? You can buy a 4 piece place setting for just over $50! This was my biggest splurge, but ever since I got black dishes at the cabin, I knew I wanted some at home, and these were an amazing price for the whole set!

The other thing I purchased were these gorgeous glasses with the gold rim. They are half price right now and end up being under $3 a glass! My kids love when we set the table fancy for our Christmas dinner and I have a feeling these glasses will become a part of our Christmas tradition:)

Now onto the fun stuff! Look how fun this centerpiece is! I wanted to create the look of a natural snowy forest, and I think mixing these 3 types of tress are just the perfect mix! I couldn’t believe when I found a set of these white 12′ bottle brush trees on crazy good sale for under $2.50/piece!  I bought two sets so I had 3 in total, but only ended up using 4. I totally think you could get away with just buying one set for $7! Then I added in these fun snow covered cedar wrapped in burlap! I love the texture and natural they bring in! And the last set of trees I purchased were the wispy rosemary ones in the cute dark metal tins! The color green is so perfect and realistic!

I love how all of Walmart’s items played into the rest of my home decor so seamlessly! You guys ask all the time if you can mix white and creams and I think this is a perfect example. Even when I opened my bottle brush trees and saw how white they were, I was nervous. Then when I started adding everything in, the creamy napkins and the burlap and jute, I loved the contrast of all the colors! (Even though they aren’t really colors:)

And the best part? This literally took me 10 minutes to set up! So if you are hosting Christmas and want to WOW your guests, this tablescape not only fits into every budget, but also creates quite a statement and anyone can re-create it!

The last thing I was going to show you is how I made the napkins festive. I had white napkins so I didn’t need to buy those, but I actually bought two sets of the rosemary trees as well so I could have one to pull the sprigs off and put into my napkins. I wrapped the napkin with this ribbon from Walmart that is only available in stores, tied it on and shoved a sprig in it and that’s it!

Thanks so much for following along this year with me on this blog . Your support has meant the world! Merry Christmas!
