Little Juliet Faith is a stubborn one, just like her daddy…..

possibly just a little like her momma:)

Either way, she decided she didn’t want to grace us with her presence yet, and to tell you the truth I still enjoy feeling the kicks inside of me, although I’m getting a bit anxious to see how this story plays out that the Lord has written for us.  I can not stress enough how crazy it is that there is just no answers, no text book to tell you what will happen.  Just last night I was telling Ryan, I feel like we haven’t planned at all.  I haven’t thought beyond going into the hospital to deliver her.  But then I try to think past that, and I feel like it’s useless.  We just honestly don’t know, so we will continue to take it one day at a time and face each new day with God’s help.

So, the plan for now is to wait…wait and see if she’s getting antsy to come:)  I’ve never gone over my due date so this is new to me.  If she doesn’t come by Monday we go in at 7 bells to meet her.  Either way we will see her in a short 5 days!

Until then my week has been wide open.   The Whimsy sale has come and gone, and thank you to all that came!  We are continually amazed with how many women can fit into that barn and how supportive you all are!  It was our most successful sale yet, and with selling almost all of our inventory, I really should be in the shed painting right now:)  But instead I find myself lounging around, occasionally scrubbing a tub or doing some laundry, thinking about what I should be doing:)  I have taken the week off.  While I have the week off I thought I’d share the Whimsy pictures with those of you who weren’t able to make it.

The front room was converted into a bedroom…

and then we had my favorite, the dining room…

and buffet..

The eat in area…

and the feminine desk set:)

The seating area…

and the gallery wall..

and lastly we changed out the lighting and tree decor up front at the cash wrap.

It’s amazing, one hour after the sale and Whimsy is converted to a barn again.  Everything has been packed up and it looks nothing like a shop.  A few people have asked if they could swing through at random times and unfortunately we have to tell them no, because we set up and tear down that fast.  To keep everything clean and tidy:)  Until next time…

Speaking of next time, we are planning on a one day Christmas sale Saturday, November 3rd.  I’m not quite sure if I’ll be a part of it yet, but the sisters are already crafting and shopping:)  So mark your calendars!

  1. Now I KNOW that you have chosen the appropriate name for this little girl! The definition of “jules” should be stubborn!!!

My Julie is home for the weekend from college and she is still amazed at how strong you have been through all of this. She was sharing with her father how you have never strayed from the Lord through this. You and your little girl are amazing people daily.

I can’t wait to see when she will finally decide that the time is right for her appearance. Timing is everything you know. My own Julie was 10 days overdue. She has been running ever since trying to catch up and she is 20 years old… When she was still in me she was constantly moving and kicking. I loved watching her contort my tummy in the oddest ways. I don’t remember that with the other two children. Only her.

Your Jules is going to be just as special. Good Luck with the delivery!

  2. Dear Allie,
I just came upon your website tonight. I immediately started praying for you. Our baby girl, Avery Joy, was born on July 17. She too had Trisomy 18. We had six incredible days with her before she went to be with The Lord on July 23. I will definitely be going back through your blog to read more about your experience, and I will be lifting you and your family up in prayer. Specifically, I will be praying that you have time with your precious baby girl.

    Most sincerely,
    Jessica Reade

  3. Dear Allie –
You don’t know me, but my mom stumbled upon your website and then shared it with me several weeks ago. I have prayed for you and your family many times and will continue to do so in the days/months to come. Juliet Faith is a lucky baby girl to have a mom & dad that chose life – despite what the medical world recommended. “Each new life, no matter how fragile or brief, forever changes the world!” Your faith will definitely hold you and your family as you continue this amazing journey.

As a side note – I had a baby with anencephaly – Garrett was born on 1.15.08 and went to heaven on 1.18.08. My husband and I found out at 16 weeks and chose life as well. So your story brings back many memories – if you have any questions, I am here to answer any and all.

Blessings to you and your family,

  4. It was a beautiful sale again! You ladies all work beautiful together. What a blessing to share your gifts amongst eachother and at the end of the day call one another family. It was so nice to meet you Allie. And kuddos to Ryan for giving up his chicken barn to sell furniture! Little Jules surely has a plan of her own and she is blessing so many with her story. Many prayers and blessings for your family.

    Hi Alli!
Just wanted you to know that I have been thinking about you a lot lately. Sending many prayers your way. You are an inspiration through all of your blogs. I also love how crafty you are! Such talent and thank you for sharing all your projects and how to do things at reasonable costs! I hope that in the next week or so God shows you the blessings he has for your future after the happiness and tears you have experienced during this trial (reminds me of the book of Job and how after experiencing so much pain, he was blessed in ways one cannot fathom). But you know all of that :) You are a strong woman with such a beautiful heart. Just wanted you to know that I have been thinking of you. God bless you, your family and your sweet little baby.
