WHIMSY GREEN CHRISTMAS SALE THIS SATURDAY!

allie • November 8, 2013

OH.MY.GOODNESS. We are so excited!!! We just got done prepping and crafting, moving and primping, filling and stuffing, EVERY CRACK OF THE BARN! And we have SO MUCH STUFF! We are so excited to see you all this Saturday and we are so excited to be able to have everything ready that we can show you a preview before the sale so you can know what to expect.

There are a few changes we are making this sale.

1.) We are only open this Saturday, a 1 day sale. Since we are only open one day we extended our hours from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.

2.) During the morning rush, we will be handing out bags for your shopping convenience. All small items can be placed in the bags. We will only be able to hold large signs.

3.) The biggest change is that we will be checking people out in the house to try to keep the shop as open as possible for your convenience. We have more inventory than we’ve ever had so the shop is full and we want to keep the line flowing. There will be people down there to help assist with large items and direct you in the way you are supposed to go.

4.) Bring your friends, bring your family, bring your mud boots..cause it’s a little sloppy out there.

5.) The last change is that this sale we have a secret item. The person who purchases this secret item will receive a $25 gift certificate to Whimsy Green.

With that being said…here’s our sneak peek of the Christmas 2013 sale. Can’t wait to see you there!!New Paragraph

In our back room we have a fun, bright kids craft/play room. My sister Mel made a lot of fun gift kits that foster creative play. The packaging is amazing and the kits are perfect for Christmas gifts, ready for under the tree!

and here’s some of the fun kits…

A little cleaning kit..

and dr, kits and build-a-fork kit.

Tea kits..

so much fun. We had to keep our kids at bay otherwise they’d want it all…

Next to the craft room we have traditional Christmas…

(Sorry, the bed wasn’t made yet!:)

and in the front room is glitzy Christmas.

I wish you could see the twinkly lights twinkle.

I think this room may be my favorite…pictures don’t quite do it justice.

and a little gold glamour

We still have a few finishing touches to add tomorrow.

And to finish it off we have the gallery wall…and let me tell you, it’s full!

There’s enough for everyone!:)

So sorry for the dark photos, we quick snapped them tonight…but we just wanted to give you a sneak peek:)

Happy shopping!

p.s. we will have signs out and are adding red and green balloons to them to direct you to us easier!

The Oaks final outdoor reveal

I pulled off the biggest surprise I've ever done... I can't believe it!! So a little back story - 17 years ago Ryan sold his prized possession, his 1991 Mazda Miata, to help fund a much needed mini van for our baby on the way. After I got pregnant I quit my job and we went from 2 incomes down to 1 income. We knew that a 2 person convertible just wasn't practical and that the finances could be used in a better way. So we sold it... Fast forward 17 years and it all comes back full circle. I put my 17 year old son Tate on the task of finding us a Miata that looked just like dads, and he blew it out of the water. He found the perfect car on Facebook Marketplace In great condition! He drove almost 3 hours to pick it up with a buddy and pulled off the best surprise ever!!! Also to note Tate has never driven through the Twin Cities or Driven a stick shift on any road besides a gravel one close to the cabin. BUT he was confident and crushed the challenge!! We stored it for the night and gave it to him the next day! I think Ryan's reaction says it all (watch the mini vlog below!) Our "19th" anniversary isn't until November but what fun is a convertible if you can't drive it in the summer, so we gave it to him early and are so happy we did! *make sure to read until the end for a good laugh ;)
